Sons and Lovers Examine the Relationships capital of Minnesota has with theWomen in his Life.capital of Minnesota Morel is the main character in DH Lawrences novel Sons andLovers. Each has the nearly influence at different times in his life and can be attributed to hischildhood, being a young man and early adulthood on an individual basis but eachwomans influence carries on to shape Paul into the man he becomes.From the very beginning there is a connection between Paul and hismother in that he looks like her with his dark hair and blue eyes. As achild he seemed old for his years, grave and serious like Mrs Morel. Heis a quiet boy but spirited much like his mother and this increases withage as his others influence becomes mor e apparent. When she fretted heunderstood, and could have no peace. His soul seemed always attentive toher is the way their attachment is described their bond is very strongand very deep. As Paul grew older she never suffered alone for herhusbands faults and what she lacked in life because her childrensuffered with her.
